Aluminium-coated steel, also known as aluminized steel, is a carbon steel sheet that has been hot-dip coated on both sides with an aluminum-silicon alloy (Type 1) or pure aluminum (Type 2).
HEAT RESISTANCE
Compared with galvanized cold rolled steel, the heat resistance of the aluminized steel is far superior, even if is used for a long time at temperatures of 450oC the appearance will not be damaged. Best operating temperature should be at 550oC or below.
CORROSION RESISTANCE
According to the United States Steel Corporation 23 years of atmospheric exposure data, aluminized steel performed better than galvanized steel in a variety of atmospheric environments for corrosion resistance especially for industrial atmospheres containing SO2, H2S, NO2 and CO2 is particularly significant.
HEAT REFLECTIVITY
Aluminium coated steel excellent heat reflectivity, with a light reflectivity of about 80% at temperatures below 500oC and an infrared reflectivity of about 95%, so it can be effectively used in ovens, boilers, and drying ovens with high heat efficiency.
