High Zinc Galvanized

Zinc is soluble in acids as well as in bases, so it is called an amphoteric metal. PRINCIPLE OF PROTECTIVE COATING

Rust is prevented by keeping steel out of direct contact with air and water. Galvanizing is also based on this principle. Generally, aluminium, nickel, chromium, etc, are also used and applied to the surface of the steel to create an insulating effect to prevent rust.

ALTERNATIVE CORROSION PRINCIPLE

Also known as the "cathodic protection" principle, this is because of the higher activity of zinc (i.e., higher oxidation potential or easier release of electrons), if the zinc layer is scratched somewhere and the steel is exposed, the zinc around the wound will be dissolved first into a substitute for iron, to protect the exposed steel from corrosion or is also called sacrificial protection.
